DBT congratulates project partner Chakratec for the innovation award at the eMove360° Europe

DBT (code ISIN : FR0013066750 – code mnémotique : ALDBT), european expert of EV infrastructures is attending the eMove360° Europe exhibition in Munich, Germany on October, 17-19 2017.

Innovation award at eMove360°

The eMove360° Europe show is one of the highlight events in Europe on Mobility 4.0, gathering all the actors of the market during 3 days. This year for the first time, were awarded 6 innovation prices for Electric Mobility and Autonomous Driving. Chakratec won a distinctive award in the energy storage category, for the “Smart Kinetic Energy Storage” which enables fast charging in spots where network power used to be not sufficient. DBT is the charging infrastructure partner in the project and will use the new ultra -charger NG150.

Charging made possible where not

DBT is pushing electric mobility with a simple vision: “Charging all cars in all situations”.

Car manufacturers and utilities are currently mapping Europe with fast chargers but sometimes face issues in areas where the grid upgrade makes no economic sense. The joint development allows for cost effective technical solution to overcome local availability issues. The kinetic storage provides unlimited charge and discharge cycles and will adapt to the local site configuration, it can be set from 100kW.h to several MW.h.

Hervé Borgoltz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DBT said:

“We are very happy with this collaboration and expect many concrete consequences Both technical teams have worked together to allow for seamless integration of the storage to the control system of our flagship product.

The First pilot will be installed before Q1 2018: this will be a worldwide premiere where kinetic energy is used in e-mobility.

DBT also adds new technology to its large array of grid impact mitigating solutions with lithium-ion storage for battery second life recycling and bio gas regeneration.

Unveiling the kinetic project in Munich is important for DBT as the Germany is priority market and we will expand our field deployment in 2018. We  already have installed 125 Dc chargers throughout the country”
